RATIFY EDUCATION FINANCING IN THE UPCOMING GES – GHANAIANS BESEECHES.
One of the best ways
to avoid being poor as an adult is to obtain a good education.
People who have higher levels of academic achievement and more years of schooling earn more than those with lower levels of human capital.Yet in Ghana poor children face an elevated risk for variety of adverse educational outcomes.
As part of this, Global Education Summit which is co-hosted by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and UK Prime Minister Bori Johnson will take on the 28th and 29th of July ,2021 in view to aid in increasing domestic financing of education towards 20% global benchmark and beyond and also establish and implement policies to ensure no child is left behind.
The Summit will consider modalities in financing education across the globe.
It also aimed at global communities to come together and support quality education for all children , a centerpiece of the Summit will be the opportunity for leaders to make 5-years pledges to support GPE work to aid transform education system in up to 90 countries and territories.
Which they aims to splash 5million dollars over five years to support education.Prior to this, Ghanaians and Civil Organizations are awaiting the Minister of Education and President Nana Akuffo Addo to endorse the statement which is to be tabled at the Global Education Summit.
Civil Organizations and Ghanaians are desperate for Education Minister to liaise with H.E President Akuffo Addo to ensure endorsement to the political statement by the GES as soon as possible to show Ghana’s commitment.
