A 40-year-elderly person affirmed to have killed his pregnant spouse on doubt of treachery is on the run, with the police mounting a quest for him.
Maxwell Boadi was claimed to have cut his significant other, Priscilla Owusu, 31, otherwise called Betty, in the neck prior to escaping their room at Nyankyerenease, a suburb of Kumasi, at around 1:00 a.m last Saturday.
Boadi was said to have been suspecting his better half, a mother of two and conveying a three-month-old pregnancy, of having extramarital illicit relationships.
The Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Godwin Ahianyo, affirmed the episode to the Daily Graphic yesterday, and said at around 2 a.m last Saturday, one Ama Nyarko detailed at the Asuoyeboa Police Station that Boadi, who was an inhabitant in Ama Nyarko’s home, had cut his better half and flee.
He said she educated the police that the casualty had been raced to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
ASP Ahianyo said the police discovered at the clinic that the casualty was gotten dead and the body had been saved at the emergency clinic’s mortuary.
He said an investigation of the body uncovered that the expired was wounded with a blade in the neck.
He said the blade was recovered from the homicide scene.
ASP Ahianyo said the police were currently acquiring a court warrant to pronounce the suspect needed.
In the mean time, he said the police and the local area guard dog board of trustees were on the manhunt for Boadi.
